Savory fruit salad

If you love salads that blend sweet, juicy fruits with savory herbs and creamy textures, this refreshing summer salad is a must-try. Combining ripe cantaloupe, strawberries, tomatoes, avocado, and peaches, it delivers a vibrant mix of flavors and nutrients in every bite.

Fresh parsley, Thai basil, and marjoram add an aromatic touch, while olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and lemon juice bring everything together with a perfect balance of tangy and rich notes. The result? A light yet satisfying dish packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and healthy fats.

For extra nourishment, top it with boiled eggs, sardines, chickpeas, beans, tofu, or your preferred protein. This salad is not only delicious but also incredibly versatile—perfect as a light lunch, side dish, or even a refreshing appetizer on warm days.

Recipe

Ingredients

1/3 cantaloupe, small cubes

9 medium strawberries, sliced

5 Campari tomatoes, sliced

half of avocado, cut into small cubes

one peach, cut into small cubes

1/2 bunch of fresh parsley, chopped

10 Thai basil leaves, chopped

20 small marjoram leaves

2 Tbsp olive oil

2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar or to taste

pink Himalayan salt and lemon juice to taste

Instructions

  • Clean and chop all ingredients;

  • Mix everything well, and add the oil, vinegar, lemon juice, and salt;

  • Taste and adjust any seasoning;

  • Add your protein of choice, like boiled eggs or sardines.
