Bone broth
Bone broth is an excellent choice for an easy and nutritious breakfast, especially if you don't like eating in the morning or if you're in a calorie deficit.
Rich in collagen, minerals, and essential amino acids, this broth helps support gut health and hormonal balance while providing you with energy and satiety. You can enjoy it on its own or add spices, herbs for extra flavor, or even creatine powder to support muscle mass and physical performance.
Recipes
Ingredients
2 lbs pork or beef bones
1 lb chicken feet
3 medium carrots
3 celery sticks
half of a red onion
5 pieces of fresh turmeric
3 pieces of fresh ginger
10 garlic cloves
half of a lemon
1/2 cup of apple cider vinegar
1 tsp peppercorns
1 tsp dried thyme
1 tsp pink Himalayan salt
Instructions
Wash the bones and chicken feet thoroughly, then place them on a baking sheet. Roast them in the oven at 400°F for 40 minutes for a more intense flavor.
Clean and chop the vegetables. Prepare all the ingredients to have them ready.
Place the roasted bones in a pressure cooker, add the vegetables, spices, and fill with water up to the maximum line. Cook for 1 hour on high pressure. If using a regular pot, simmer for 6-8 hours on low heat.
After cooking, strain the broth through a fine sieve and remove the solids.
Taste the broth and adjust the salt level as desired.
Drink 1-2 cups of broth as breakfast or use it as a base for other dishes. It can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or frozen in smaller portions for later use.
Enjoy!
